A new season brings renewed feelings and embracing change once again. When was the last time you cleaned out your makeup kit? Beauty brands are gearing up for the holiday season as I type, so be prepared to be bedazzled by all this season has to bring. If you want to clear your conscience about the new splurges you may find yourself taking advantage of, here are a few things you can do to prepare:
Make a wish list of the items you're interested in.
If you follow a lot of beauty pages, then you'll see so many launches on standby, waiting to be bought and sold.
It can be quite a feat to remember "who's selling what", so making a list of your desired new products will help you better organize.
The bonus is you can share your list with your loved ones as well, especially if you exchange holiday gifts...which is fast approaching.
Throw out old, expired products you no longer use. What's the benefit of holding onto items that cannot or do not serve you anymore?
I know it can be hard to let go of products that you've paid XYZ amount(s) for, or is a particular brand name, etc. We all have our favorites.
The good news is that Brands are always releasing new choices to keep your spark alive.
Right now is the time of year when we see the latest releases because of the Holiday season's start.
When you get rid of old, useless products, you'll create space to add in the new ones you've wanted to try.
Get on the email lists of your favorite brands now. I cannot emphasize this suggestion enough.
Yes, companies make announcements on their social media pages, and ads seem to pop up everywhere you look. Plus, you may not be a fan of feeling "spammed" by what appears to be excessive promotions. I get it.
Here's the reality: Brands do not own their social media pages. They are merely outlets of communication to their audience.
When Facebook or Instagram suffer "outages" due to updates, etc., no one can effectively communicate with each other until resolved.
We've experienced these types of glitches repeatedly. The one avenue where social media platforms have no authority is through email lists. Those kinds of communications are the responsibility of each brand and are their best, consistent way to keep you informed and included with their special offers and promotions.
Although each company promotes themselves differently, they all communicate through email. With the Holiday season officially here (Halloween through Valentine's Day), there will be massive offers to save money for you if your name is on "the list."
